Therapy Services for Parents, Teens and Young Adults
PLEASE NOTE: From January-June 2026, Megan will be available for on-line sessions only.
Parenting in today’s world can feel complicated.
Parents are constantly bombarded with endless information, advice, and competing theories - all packaged up in the latest books and programmes promoting the “right” or “latest” way to raise children and teens.
I provide psychological consultations for parents that help them cut through this noise.
The truth is that at any age, children’s core needs have never changed regardless of the era; they require secure relationships, consistent care, and emotionally attuned parenting. Modern neuroscience and developmental research has confirmed, without doubt, what specialists have long recognised—that these are the foundations for healthy psychological development. My approach is firmly grounded in this science.
I GET IT…
Parenting is tough and whatever the challenge - whether a toddler’s tantrums, a child’s anxiety, or a teenager’s withdrawal - it can leave you feeling helpless, frustrated, or reactive, despite your best intentions.
LET ME HELP YOU WITH THE TOOLS TO SUCCEED.
My primary focus is working with parents.
While there is sometimes a place for children and early teens to receive individual therapy, my clinical experience - combined with research-based knowledge - show that in most circumstances, the most effective and lasting change often begins with parents. Parents hold the key to their child’s emotional wellbeing, and when parents are well supported, the whole family benefits.
Psychological Consultations with Parents
At the initial consultation, you will have the opportunity to reflect on your child or teenager’s needs, gain clarity about their developmental and psychological needs, and receive science-informed insights and practical strategies. It is anticipated that our work together will be time limited, with a clear plan of action developed by the end of the initial consultation, that strengthens your confidence and supports you to be the parent you want to be.
Initial Clinical Consultation: 90 minutes $375
Subsequent Sessions: 60 minutes $250
